Anti-Ragging Committee

Introduction:

The Anti-Ragging Committee of Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya is a statutory committee formed to prevent and address ragging incidents within the institution. Ragging is a form of harassment that can cause physical and emotional harm to students.

The committee focuses on creating a safe and ragging-free environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity, and ensuring compliance with anti-ragging regulations.

Objectives:

1. to prevent ragging incidents within the institution.

3. to create awareness about the consequences of ragging.
4. to provide support and counseling to victims of ragging.
5. to foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity.

Measures Taken:

1. Conducting anti-ragging workshops and awareness programs for students, teachers, and staff.

2. Displaying anti-ragging posters and notices in prominent areas.
3. Forming a mentoring system for first-year students.
4. Conducting regular surprise checks in hostels and campus areas.
5. Implementing strict disciplinary actions against those found guilty of ragging.

6. Providing counseling and support services to victims of ragging.
