College History
Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya stated its journey in 1962, as an evening section of Charu Chandra College(22,Lake Place Road, Kolkata -700029) which was established, in the sacred memory of late Charu Chandra Chattopadhyay, an eminent Indian nationalist, in 1947 to cater to the needs of migrant refugees from erstwhile East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). On 15th July,1985 this evening section was transformed into a separate college, Charu Chandra Evening College, with a Governing body and a Principal of its own.
